After having been travelled for almost 24 hours, we arrived in the International Airport Galeäo-Antonio Carlos Jobim.

It was raining.

In the airport, Beatriz, Toribio and the van were waiting for us.

 


They got us to the California Othon Clasic Hotel, separated from the Copacabana’s Beach only for a little asphalt surface.

But we expect tomorrow the weather will change, and we will be able to enjoy our first day having a bath in the famous sandy spot.

But, the Monday starts covered of clouds.
Well, it does not matter, because we will have time to organize the performance for the following day.

However, the rain was not a reason enough to stop the most forwards having a fresh bath, before having lunch, in the salted waters from the other side of the ocean.

Congratulations for those “brave men and women”! What a cold was there!


That afternoon, like good tourists, we were to visit the Päo de Açúcar: we were to touch the sky, and we recorded that image of the city forever in our retinas…

   
We came back to the hotel, but before that, we went to the Oi Casa Grande Theatre – in front of Ipanema – to be in the opening ceremony of the Perc Pan, which is one of the most important music festivals in the world, that, this year, in its 15th edition, includes in the list the group faltriqueira.

Tuesday, 26.

9:30 A.M.: we go to check the sound.

14:00h: we have the first workshops, in which we show the Galician tambourine and other typical instruments from our folklore, introducing all the people who were there, the traditional rhythms from Galicia.
21:00: The Performance. 
                                        
This is one of the most important days in faltriqueira’s life.
The applause was great!


Wednesday 27, last day in the city.

11:00h a.m.: Workshops.

17:00 h: Visit to Corcovado Christ ... and yes, we confirm we are in Rio!

                                                  


18:30 p.m.: Closure of the first part of the festival, which moves to Salvador de Bahia.
All groups interact in a stage, where the common language is the music.

                             

Thursday morning is day of traveling.  

Van. Beatriz. Toribio. Plane. 


Salvador de Bahía.

Van. Nelson (pachorrudo, cachazudo, parsimonious). Nelson. Hotel. Workshops. Food. ¡BEACH!.

Bay wears a radiant sun. We have half an hour to enjoy it!
Half an hour until the big red ball plunges into the sea.
Such a wonderful moment!

If in Rio the applause from the audience was great, here, in the Castro Alves , one of the most prestigious theatre in the country, which was filled to the flag, the echo is still in our ears.
Impressive. Amazing. Unforgettable.
