In 2002, after several years of learnig and consolidatión of our style and ideas, our first work, faltriqueira, was published.
We were lucky of running into Pascal Gaigne, a well-known composer of original sound tracks (El sol del membrillo, Piedras, Silencio Roto, Las voces de la noche, Azul oscuro casi negro, Siete mesas de billar francés…), music for ballet, theatre..., a great guitarist, and a special person.
We met him almost eight years ago.
We needed a producer; we needed somebody who gave our songs a beautiful colour, a special sound. We needed somebody who understood our particular musical feelings.
And it was Sergio Cruzado – our manager at that time – who introduced us Pascal.
He communicated with us and we communicated with him since the first moment, and some months later, we started to work together in faltriqueira.
Since then, all of us sail in the same boat.
Pascal is for us, more than a producer. He is the little bell of our tambourines; he is the clef of our score; he is a good friend.
Thanks, Pascal.

The group Faltriqueira personifies the freshest current of the panorama arisen from the sources of the traditional music. Fusing the polyphony with the percussions and the acoustic instruments, Faltriqueira is a vocal autonomous project that flees of the rigid tradition and provides with new life to songs gathered in diverse latitudes, not only in her natal Galicia.
